John C. Waugh is the award winning author of several other
books on the Civil War era. He is a former bureau chief for the
Christian Science Monitor, and his writing has appeared in many
other publications, including the New York Times, the Los Angeles
Times, the Boston Globe, and the Civil War Times Illustrted. He
lives in Texas.
