James Robert Martin 是悉尼大学的语言学教授。是系统功能语法研究领域的领头人之一。他在1998年被选为fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities,主要研究方向是discourse analysis, genre, appraisal, multimodality and educational linguistics。
